Adjectivesการเปรียบเทียบคำคุณศัพท์ ( Comparison of Adjectives )

การเปรียบเทียบคำคุณศัพท์ ( Comparison of Adjectives ) เป็นการเปรียบเทียบคำคุณศัพท์ที่ไปแสดงคุณภาพของนามเพื่อจะบอกให้รู้ว่านามนั้นมีลักษณะ เท่าเทียมกันหรือไม่ อย่างไร แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ขั้น คือ
การเปรียบเทียบขั้นปกติ ( Positive Degree )
ใช้เปรียบเทียบความเท่าเทียมกัน ไม่เท่าเทียมกัน เช่น long, short, small , big , fast, slow เป็นต้น
การเปรียบเทียบขั้นกว่า ( Comparative Degree )
ใช้เปรียบเทียบกับนาม 2 จำนวน เช่น longer, shorter, smaller, bigger , faster, slower เป็นต้น
การเปรียบเทียบขั้นสูงสุด ( Superlative Degree )
ใช้เปรียบเทียบกับนามที่มีจำนวนตั้งแต่ 3 ขึ้นไป เช่น longest, shortest, smallest, biggest เป็นต้น



1. การเปรียบเทียบขั้นปกติ ( Positive Degree ) มีตัวเชื่อมหลายรูปแบบดังต่อไปนี้
รูปแบบ
as+ adj. + as
แสดงความ เท่าเทียมกัน เช่น
This pencil is as long as that one. ดินสอแท่งนี้ยาวเท่าๆกับแท่งนั้น
กรณีต้องการเปรียบเทียบความไม่เท่ากันมีรูปแบบดังนี้
not as + adj. + as
เช่น
This road is not so long as that one. ถนนเส้นนี้ไม่ยาวเท่าเส้นนั้น
หรือ This road is not as long as that one.


2. การเปรียบเทียบขั้นกว่า ( Comparative Degree )
การเปรียบเทียบที่สูงกว่า แสดงในรูป
S1+ is/am/are+ adj.+ -er + than +s2

เช่น I am older than you. ฉันแก่กว่าคุณ

This road is longer than that one. ถนนเส้นนี้ยาวกว่าเส้นนั้น

You are taller than me. หรือ You are taller than I am. เธอสูงกว่าฉัน

S1 + is/am/are + more + adj. +than +s2

A pen is more expensive than a pencil. ปากกามีราคาแพงกว่าดินสอ


3. การเปรียบเทียบขั้นสูงสุด ( Superlative Degree )
รูปแบบมีดังนี้
S + is/am/are +the + adj.+est ---> Tic is the richest man.
S + is/am/are + the + most + adj. ---> I am the most beautiful girl in this class.

Superlatives

A superlative adjective expresses the extreme or highest degree of a quality.

We use a superlative adjective to describe the extreme quality of one thing in a group of things.
In the example below,

"biggest" is the superlative form of the adjective "big":

Superlative drgree คือ การเปรียบเทียบขั้นสูงสุดในการเปรียบเทียบ คน สัตว์ และสิ่งของมากกว่าสองสิ่งขึ้น
ไป เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นว่าสิ่งเหล่านี้มีคุณสมบัติเป็นที่สุด นิยมใช้ the ในการเปรียบเทียบ Adjectives ขั้นสูงสุด

รูปแบบประโยค

1. the adj. +est

2. the most adj

For example;

In Mana's family, Mana is a father. Malee is a mother. Min is a son. And Manee is a daughter.

Manee is the youngest in this family.

Mana is the tallest.

America is the most interesting country in the world .

Comparatives

* Use of Comparative Adjectives
We use comparative adjectives when talking about 2 things
(not 3 or 10 or 1,000,000 things, only 2 things).
เป็นการเปรียบเทียบ 2 สิ่ง ว่าสิ่งหนึ่งมากกว่าอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง มีรูปการใช้ 2 อย่าง
Often, the comparative adjective is followed by "than".

Look at these examples:







The bee is smaller than the butterfly.






His bicycle is slower than my car.











Today is hotter than yesterday.

The pink flower is more beautiful than the grey flower.

The computer is more expensive than the alarm clock.
